How to measure your Child's foot

Step 1: Place a ruler hard against the skirting board.	Step 2: Place our child's foot on top of the ruler make sure the ruler does not move and make sure your child is standing and their heel is hard against the skirting board.
Step 3: Read the length of the foot from the ruler. (in this case 173mm)	Step 4: Take the measurement from the previous picture (173mm). Remember the ruler does NOT start at 0 against the skirting so you will usually have to deduct 5mm so in this example the foot measures 173mm less 5mm so the result is 168mm.

We have found that even if a child has a foot that is measured at a certain size, every manufacturers shoe size are different so simply quoting the size your child's foot is measured at will NOT work. There is no point in going into a Children's Shoes Shop and having your child's foot measured then ordering that size OnLine.

If you measure the foot as per the photos above and add 10mm to the result and then round up to the nearest size you will get a shoe that fits properly.

So in the example above we come up with 168mm adding 10mm we get 178mm so I would order a 180mm shoe.
